It’s mid-August and I’m busy varnishing 3 mixed media paintings, and putting the finishing touches on several watercolour works, all in preparation for the Bouddi Peninsula Arts Trail. This annual event set in the heart of the majestic Bouddi National Park and is a great opportunity for locals and visitors to peruse original and exceptional works of art by local artists. Winding through the coastal hideaway of Killcare Heights, Killcare, Hardys Bay, Pretty Beach and Wagstaffe, it’s a weekend for art buffs to meet the artists in their studios and workshops to see where and how creativity begins and comes to fruition.

It's not only art on the peninsula. The surrounding Bouddi National Park offers diverse landscapes, myriad hiking trails, beaches and campsites. It’s a perfect time of year to embrace the stunning nature of the peninsula, discover friendly local eateries and shops, and browse a rich collection of artworks in the relaxed comfort of artisan studios.
This year a record 27 artists will be displaying pieces including painting, sculpture, ceramics, woodwork, photography and textile art. Something for everyone. As always, the artists will be on hand to chat, educate and inspire visitors. And of course, everything will be available to purchase and make its way to new homes and venues.

The Bouddi Peninsula and all the studios on the Bouddi Peninsula Arts Trail are conveniently located just 90 minutes from Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. Whether coming by car, train (service by Sydney-Newcastle train line) or ferry (from Palm Beach), there’s plenty of accommodation to make it a long weekend. The ultimate combination of Bouddi National Park’s Bush, Bay and Beach, and the Bouddi Peninsula Arts Trail, this October Long (4-5th) weekend is a unique art and leisure experience.

Plan your visit by checking out the website https://https://bouddipeninsulaartstrail.org .
There you’ll find information all the artists and their particular disciplines, along with the Arts Trail map to guide you to each studio.
Now back to creating art.
