A mixed media work on wood with acrylic paint and mediums.  Gently textured.  Sealed and varnished for a satin finish. 60x60cm with a 3cm profile.  
 
This piece depicts the scene in Romeo and Juliet as they wake from slumber.  Romeo, alarmed, exclaims that he hears the lark, it's morning and he must be off.  Juliet, sleepily declares, no, it's the nightingale in the pomegrante tree so it must still be nighttime. Shakespeare's words are written on the birch wood canvas and peek through the layers of leaves and pomegrantes.
