Red poppies, dramatic red and black combination. In the collage background you might find images of ghosts. The haphazard texture of the background also symbolizes the chaos and randomness in the field of flowers where the poppies grow. This painting uses hand-coloured rice paper collage for texture, as well watercolour and acrylic paint and mediums. The piece has been sanded throughout to create a worn looking background. It is sealed with a polymer varnish for a satin finish.  60x60cm mixed media on birch wood, (2cm depth).  Unframed, ready to hang.
